Laundry Symbols
To keep your garments always looking their best, simply check the wash care labels to find out how they should be washed, dried and ironed.

Normal Wash
No restrictions regarding washing temperature

Indicated by dot(s) or a number signifying washing temperature range

Permanent Press
Indicated with one line below. Permanent press fabrics have been treated with chemicals to ensure they resist wrinkles and retain their original shape. If a piece of clothing is permanent press, it usually means that it should be medium wash (mild washing conditions), and that you shouldn't iron it.

Gentle Cycle
Indicated with two lines below. Gentle cycle is for delicate fibres like wool or silk, or for items that could be damanged by vigrous washing. Minimum wash (delicate washing conditions) should be used.

Hand Wash
For hand wash do not use a washing machine. Instead wash garments in a sink or tub, using your hands to ensure that the cleaning liquid is thoroughly rubbed into material and subsequently rinsed out. Maximum temperature of 40°C is recommended.

Do Not Wash
The label instructs not to wash, to be cautious when treating in wet stage. Dry cleaning is recommended

No restrictions regarding temperature, steam or dry

Do Not Iron
Indicated with a cross across the iron

Do Not Iron with Steam
Indicated with a cross across the steam symbol below the iron. If cross is not present across the steam symbol, steaming is allowed

Normal Tumble Dry
Tumble drying is possible, at any temperature.

Temperature Indication
Indicated by dot(s) signifying ironing temperature.

1 dot = low (< 55°C)

2 dots = medium (< 65°C)

3 dots = high (<75°C)

Tumble Dry Permanent Press
Indicated with a single line below. Permanent press setting should be used.

Tumble Dry Delicate
Indicated with two lines below. Delicate setting must be used.

Do Not Tumble Dry
Indicated with a cross across. Leave this garment to drip-dry on a drying rack or on your drying line.

Hang / Line Dry
After removing excess water, line drying is possible. Garments will not be distorted by vertical drying.

Drip Dry
It is acceptable to hang soaking wet pieces to line dry. Garments will not be distorted by vertical drying.

Dry flat
After removing excess water, dry the garment on a suitable flat surface. Garment might get distorted by vertical drying.

Normal Bleach
Any kind of bleach can be used.

Only oxygen bleach / non-chlorine bleach allowed
Kao Colour Bleach can be used, but not Kao Bleach Regular.
